Beginning on Monday 9th of December, Minene’s little helper, Emmie, will be bringing you presents, toys and fun, for 12 days! From gifts for you, to gifts for your tots, there will be plenty of lovely Minene surprises to win.
Each day our Minene’s little helper will choose a gift (or 2!) from our large Minene Christmas basket, whatever she chooses is yours to win (don’t worry…we will help her lift the big ones!)
We will shout about it on Facebook, tweet about it on twitter and pic about it on instagram…so plenty of ways to keep up to date with what you can win and how to do it!
So, I know you are all wondering….what type of products will be in the Minene Christmas basket? Well we have stroller net bags, liners, bandana bibs, childrens pyjamas, newborn gifts, a Layla Changing Bag, large cuddly towel, Mi booster cushion, froggy bag, small storage baskets and boxes, plenty of friendly teddy bears….and maybe even an activity mat!
With the cold & dark winter evenings upon us, it is time to look for fun (indoor) ideas for chilly evenings!
Last weekend we had a fun, late night, movie night with popcorn, pyjamas, pillow play, Disney princesses and a Cars film chucked in there, for the lads. The girls chose to wear matching PJs, these came in handy when performing their choreographed dance routines! The lads chose to mix it up in different styles- boys will be boys and girls will be girls, right?!
We purchased these amazing reusable popcorn containers, plastic and washable, from Amazon. There are plenty to choose from, I personally loved the pink polka dot ones, however Louis had something to say about that! So we settled on the vintage looking red and white stripe. The kids LOVED having a popcorn just for themselves and it is a great way to control the portions they ate!
I think, in future, when we head to the cinema I will take these along. A great way to stop arguments mid movie…(in hush, yelling, voices) ‘he ate all my popcorn’ ‘give me back the pop corn’ ‘shhhhh’ you know the drill…
The movie night was a hit! The kids all enjoyed it and were found exhausted and napping on the fold out couch by midnight. We are in the other room enjoying more of an ‘adult’ evening where our red and white pop corn boxes were swapped for red and white wine!
This weekend Louis thinks it is his turn to choose the indoor entertainment…his plan is fort building…I am less convinced!! Wish me luck xx

Lauren highlights how storage is the most important thing, little baby’s might be small but they have so many things! The baskets shown in the video are Minene Large baskets, which are available in a range of colours and cost £25 each. The other storage she has is Ikea Expedit units.
Also shown is the Minene Supersize Muslins which are so so useful for so many things, from burping cloths, using as a nursing cover and even for lining the changing mat, these are invaluable.
Stay tuned for our next update….and hopefully a newborn baby!
Make yourself, put your feet up and sit down and let us introduce our very own sneak peek into reality. We will be following one family as they welcome a new addition into their lives.

We are very pleased to announce that we have teamed up with one family to bring you the story of their life. We love a bit of reality TV, and this is going to be a little of reality bought to you each week, following a real life family and their newborn baby.
So who are the Goodchilds?
Lauren is Mummy Goodchild, she is married to Darren aka Daddy Goodchild. They have 4 year old Spud and 2 year old Spike, they also have a bump on board at the moment too.
Baby Dot is a girly bump and is due to make an appearance into the big world on 5th October 2013, but we all know babies can be unpredictable!
The gorgeous photos were taken by Alice Speller Photography, and we thank them for letting us use them for our reality project.
What are we going to do with The Goodchilds?
We are going to be creating some video updates, blog posts and photos taking a sneaky peek into their world. We can’t wait to see the family grow. Watch this space for details of our first update, as we venture in and have a look at their world.
You can find Lauren online at www.spudandspike.co.uk.
Taking handprints and footprints of your children when they are young is fun, it’s a great way to keep a track of how much they grow and looking back at them in years to come is always amazing to see just how much they have grown!
Here is some lovely ways of using the hand prints to make even more magical, and fun additions to the house. These would look awesome framed!
